Our Story

OB Designs was born in Byron Bay, Australia, in 2008, inspired by a simple belief:

Every child deserves a best friend.

As parents, our days were filled with muddy footprints, endless snack requests and children with wonderfully wild imaginations. We watched as simple plush toys became so much more than toys. They became trusted companions, bedtime comforters, tea party guests and loyal sidekicks on every adventure.

They sailed pirate ships, explored fairy gardens, travelled to magical kingdoms and joined countless backyard expeditions. Through imaginative play, we saw firsthand how a special friend could help children build confidence, express emotions, spark creativity and make sense of the world around them.

It was those moments that inspired OB Designs.

From the very beginning, we've created charming characters with unique personalities, thoughtfully designed to inspire imagination, bring comfort and become part of childhood adventures. We believe the most treasured toys aren't simply played with—they're loved, hugged, talked to, carried everywhere and remembered long after childhood has passed.

As our brand has grown, so has our vision. Today, alongside our beloved plush companions, we've introduced heirloom crochet blankets designed to wrap little ones in comfort and become treasured keepsakes for years to come. Together, our collections are created to be part of a family's story—from first cuddles and bedtime rituals to adventures big and small.

Today, OB friends can be found in homes around the world, but every one of them is still thoughtfully designed with love, care and a commitment to creating products that children will cherish.
