Our Story

OB Designs was born on a kitchen table in a rickety old house in Byron Bay, Australia in 2008, with a simple mission: to bring a little more FUN into the world.

Back then, our days were filled with muddy footprints, endless snack requests and children with wonderfully wild imaginations. Inspired by their quirky sense of humour, we began creating toys with big personalities and timeless appeal.

As parents, we quickly realised something important. Plush toys weren't just toys. They became best friends, trusted sidekicks, tea party guests and bedtime comforters. They travelled to magical kingdoms, sailed pirate ships and visited fairy gardens. I could see the toys were more than just a fluffy object. They were trusted companions who helped them make sense of the world around them.

Watching our children create entire worlds through imaginative play showed us just how powerful a simple toy can be. A cuddly companion can spark creativity, build confidence, encourage empathy and create memories that last a lifetime.

That belief still guides everything we do today.

While OB Designs has grown far beyond that little kitchen table, our purpose remains the same: to create adorable companions that inspire imagination, bring comfort and become part of childhood adventures.

Today, our friends can be found in homes around the world, but every one of them is still thoughtfully designed, sustainably made and created with love.

Because every child deserves a special friend.
